Blockades (with collaborators)

The title refers both to the tactic of blockading spaces as well as the psycho-emotional state of being "blocked", The exhibition aims to make visual what it looks and feels like to act directly. Herbst has said, "In March of 2003 I was sitting in a cafe in Echo Park. Meanwhile in San Francisco, people had banned together to close that city down." Collaborators include: Charles Irvin, Michael Parker, Nancy Popp, Tom McKenzie, Jen Hofer, Elana Mann, Adam Overton, Micheael Parker, Christian Cummings and Michael Decker.
